Capturing a Triple Arch at 4,200 Meters
Once a year, both arms of the Milky Way share the same sky. This March, I went to find them from Dent d'Hérens above the Matterhorn that is not photographed. What I captured was more than I had planned for.

Join Angel at the Night Photo Summit 2026
In this event, Angel will share how she approaches nightscape photography less as documentation and more as a process built over time. She’ll talk about storytelling, writing as part of the creative process, technical choices as creative decisions, and the very real physical reality of working at night in the mountains, especially in winter.
