Wall Prints
Selected images from Angel’s work can be transformed into large-scale, site-specific installations printed directly onto the surface of a wall.
Created in collaboration with WallPrint France, these installations allow an image to move beyond the proportions of a conventional framed artwork and become part of the architecture itself—considered in relation to the scale, materials and character of the space it inhabits.
From an alpine panorama spanning a living space to a celestial landscape integrated into a hotel, chalet or private interior, each installation is approached individually.
BEYOND THE FRAME
When the wall becomes the artwork.
In collaboration with WallPrint France, selected commissions and existing artworks can be created as large-scale, site-specific photographic installations printed directly onto the surface of a wall.
Rather than placing an artwork within a space, the image becomes part of it—conceived around the proportions, materials and character of the architecture it inhabits. From an expansive mountain panorama spanning an entire wall to a celestial landscape integrated into a more intimate interior, each installation can be developed specifically for its environment.
The technology uses highly precise UV-cured inks and can reproduce photographic imagery directly across a wide range of surfaces, including plaster, wood, concrete, brick and stone. Installations can reach up to four metres in height, while their horizontal scale can extend far beyond the proportions of a conventional framed artwork.
THE PROCESS

The Space
The process begins with the environment itself—its dimensions, architecture, materials, viewing distance and the atmosphere the installation should create.

The Artwork
A piece is selected from Angel’s body of work, taking into consideration its composition, proportions and suitability for the intended space.

The Composition
Scale, placement and cropping are considered in relation to the wall, allowing the image and architecture to work together as one composition.

The Installation
The final artwork is printed directly onto the wall in collaboration with WallPrint France, creating a site-specific photographic installation conceived for that particular space.
THE TECHNOLOGY
Printed directly onto the surface.
Using precise UV printing technology, photographic imagery can be reproduced directly onto a wide range of architectural surfaces.
This approach removes the physical boundaries of a conventional frame and allows installations to reach architectural dimensions while retaining the detail, tonal transitions and atmosphere of the original photograph.
Depending on the project and surface, installations can be created across materials including plaster, concrete, wood, brick and stone, opening possibilities for both contemporary and more traditional interiors.
Here I’d recommend a close-up photograph of the printing process or machine actually applying the image to the wall. It will immediately answer the visitor’s “How is that even done?” question.
