Captured from 4,200 metres on the Swiss–Italian border, The Triple Arch brings together two opposing arches of the Milky Way and the elusive Gegenschein in a single panoramic composition.
Following its release, the image was selected as NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD), gaining international attention and spreading widely across social media, news, and publications.
The recognition marked an important moment for Angel, whose ambitious project required extensive planning, a high-altitude expedition and more than 260 individual exposures to bring the final image to life.
The project was subsequently released as a limited edition artwork, allowing collectors to experience The Triple Arch beyond the digital image.
